Faux Orwell Contest: I wrote in March about the Faux Orwell contest Charlie and I were putting together. This is now live, and can be seen here. We have had five entries so far and have a month left to take more. Twenty submissions would make the judging interesting, so keep the entries coming.

Sorry for the interruption: My home system, where I hosted this blog, was hacked a few weeks ago, so I was unable to post items to that computer. Thinking that the damage would be easy to repair, I didn't bother moving my blog to another system, figuring that it would be safe to post again within a few days. But days have stretched to weeks and still I don't have the new computer in place, so I have decided to move to a host run by my ISP and blog from there. I'll move back to the old place after I finally rebuild my home machine.
